In the summer, I like to skip foundation, because it is so heavy. I discovered this Chanel CC cream awhile back and just love it! It has three shades, 20, 30 and 40, shade 20 being the lightest and 40 the darkest. It has a broad spectrum SPF of 50. In the winter, I use the 20 under my foundation. It gives me extra coverage and protects my face from the sun, too. Plus, not to mention, it smells amazing! In the fall and spring, I wear the 30 under my foundation, since I am a little darker. And, now I only wear the 40 with powder and bronzer and a little waterproof mascara. If I am going out at night, I might add to the routine, concealer, blush and eye makeup.
I found out by mistake, fortunately, that you can mix the 20 and 40 together to make 30! Wow! That saves money right there. You can adjust your shades as you get lighter and darker.
I usually buy several of these at a time when Nordstrom’s or Neiman Marcus are having their beauty events. That way I usually get a tote, too, with lots of samples. If you are flying out of the country, you can usually find Chanel at the duty-free shops, too.
(I was going to post a picture of the before and after of me bare-faced and with the cream on, but Hayley and I both agreed that the bare-face was super SCARY! So , you are just seeing the product.)
