Our school has the Patriot as our mascot. Every year we host a Patriots’ Day celebration for all of the grandparents. I some how, year after year, end up on the Patriots’ Day Committee, sometimes even chair it! I seem to end up being asked to do the decorations. It’s fun but challenging coming up with different ideas every year. As a committee, we get together and choose a theme, and then I go from there. This year’s theme was “Let Freedom Ring.” I had LaPressco print this large poster to be hung on a huge chicken-wire frame we use every year. (By the way, they can print anything for you!)I adorned the bottom with some fringe I found at Hobby Lobby. I ordered the letter and star balloons from Party City. And, I decorated the entry ways with long patriotic cloth drapes and patriotic circles. I was pleased with the end result!
I wanted to share these decorations with you in case you are hosting a Labor Day celebration. I thought it might give you some ideas.
Speaking of Labor Day! Gosh there are tons of sales going on now until Labor Day….
God bless the USA!
