Here is a great new cocktail to try! It was really fun to make! It’s a craft cocktail, so you only can make one at a time….but so worth it! I had the kids surprise me and come in to town. I had them, Auldon and Rourke taste-test this with a high approval rating to conclude!!
Here’s what you need:
This port is really great alone for an after-dinner dessert drink.
(not pictured: sugar and water)
First start with an orange simple syrup.
In a saucepan, add a cup of sugar.
And a cup of water.
And an orange peel.
Bring to a boil and stir until dissolved. Reduce to simmer and let it cook down to a thicker syrup for 15 minutes. Let cool.
In a cocktail shaker, muddle 3/4 cups of purple grapes until totally smashed. Add 1 ounce bourbon, 1 ounce of port, 3/4 oz. of fresh orange juice, 1/2 oz. of orange simple syrup and one egg white. Fill with ice. Cover and shake around 20 times. Strain into a glass.
Put two drop of bitters on top.
Light an orange peel, just barely running the flame around the edge a few seconds. This opens the aroma up.
And, immediately rub the rim of the glass with the peel. Then drop the peel into the drink.
This Tiger Tail will have you purring with delight and roaring for more!
I hate ending “Football Week”! It was SO FUN!
