Clean, non-toxic beauty ain’t cheap. But, fortunately, drugstores are catching on to the trend and jumping on board.
I have been trying several brands out there for a while now and some just recently.
Here are some favorites in my beauty arsenal!! First off is this cleanser and micro-scrub by The Seaweed Bath Co. Rourke and I both use these daily. They are both gentle and do the job well!Next on the list, is Botanics Cleansing Toner and Clay Mask. I use the toner after washing my face using a cotton ball. It does not strip the oils from my face. The mask gets deep down into my pores and rids of bacteria and dirt. I highly recommend shaking the mask well before opening.Another great “clean” brand is Pacifica. This mask really rejuvenates my faces when I’m feeling fatigued.I usually use this deodorant, but wanted to try a cheaper brand. Meow Meow Tweet’s mini-deodorant stick stood the test in this 90 plus heat, believe it or not. It comes in several scents and is small enough to carry in my purse. For makeup, W3LL PEOPLE is on Allure magazine’s top picks list. Here is the SPF 30 Tinted Moisturizer and the Expressionist Mascara. The tinted moisturizer is very similar to my Chanel CC cream that I use religiously. While the mascara is good, it does NOT compare to my Chanel Voluminous Mascara that I swear by and can’t bear to part with.Burt’s Bees has gone from shampoo and lip balm to a full-out make-up line. After using all these products on several occasions, all have met my expectations. I love the cute honeycomb shape of the powder foundation, which has two openings. One is for the powder and the other is for an applicator and mirror. The liquid foundation went on effortlessly, along with the lip crayon and brow pencil. I will be switching to this brow pencil from my usual Chanel one! #dollarsignsinmyeyes
And, as far as non-toxic nail polish and top coat, I found Mineral Fusion’s to be up there with Sally Hensen and Essie. It dries super quick and after applying another top coat daily, it has staying power, believe or not!
So that rounds up some non-toxic beauty swaps that won’t max out your credit card.
Hopefully, you can find something above to suit your fancy.
