Well, here in our household, we will be watching The Bachelor.
Rourke is getting the heck out of dodge for work, I think, so he won’t have to be subjected. And, possibly to watch the football game uninterrupted…. He isn’t here for the right reasons.
So, we had to come up with a fun cocktail for the first episode of The Bachelor, and boy, did we hit the one-on-one date!!!
Stay tuned!!!We are calling it “The First Impression Rose!”
We are using gin, rose syrup, rose cordial, bitters, grenadine and lime. For garnish, we are using bourbon-soaked cherries….In a dry shaker, mix:
1 1/2 ounces of gin
1 ounce of rose cordial
1/2 ounce of rose syrup
1/2 ounce of grenadine
1/2 fresh squeezed lime juice
a few drops of Angostura bitters
Strain into a pretty glass and top off with crushed ice. Plop a cherry in and you’ve made a connection! You’ve got “The First Impression Rose” and you’re not going home!!!
(It honestly tastes like an adult slushy!)
For the crushed ice, just put ice in your blender and blend until finely crushed.Grab you some vittles and enjoy!A few notes on The Bachelor…..
This will be The Bachelor’s 23rd season, starring Colton Underwood. It will be a three-hour, live episode. It starts with 30 bachelorettes. And there is an actual Bachelor Fantasy League you can subscribe to with prizes!!
