If you missed the first of this series, let me catch you up. Hayley and I be-bop around Shreveport/Bossier finding you some near-and-dear, tried-and-true places for you to try on your next outing.
We travelled across the Red River this field trip and headed into Bossier City. We found three new places you need to visit if you haven’t already.
First off, we visited Main Squeeze on Airline Drive. It is a ultra-modern, hip juice/smoothie destination just waiting for your taste buds to arrive. As you can see from the menu, they have fresh, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, smoothie bowls, hot coffee drinks and even frozen blended coffees. There are add-ins you can try for $1.00.If you are not sure what to get, they have plenty of samples for you to try. Everything in here is good for you. And, just about everything is sweetened naturally. For your in-house drinking/dining experience, they have a welcoming area for you to enjoy your purchases. So, please give Main Squeeze a try!

Next, we headed north on Airline just across the street next to 2John’s, to the very approachable, Birdwell’s.
As we walked up, I could tell that I would be a while in this one! It was very pleasing to the eye! Especially my eye!
Everything is, as their sign says, “A Collection of Southern Style,” from Louisiana products, original Southern art, to everything magnolias and pelicans. Two sisters, Angela and Gina, co-proprietors, got the idea from their two grandmothers. The blueprint for their store came from both grandmother’s “life of hard work, love of family, unwavering faith and thanks-a-million attitudes.” Thus the namesake, Birdwell’s.They carry Kendra Scott, Good Eats chicken salad and tomato basil soup, and even a bridal registry. They have monthly GNO events, too.Plus, they have gifts for even the hard-to-please, from brides to father’s to game-day fans!
As a first time visitor, to honor their grandmother’s special touch, they will leave you with a parting gift to enjoy and use on your next visit. So please don’t hesitate and go visit Birdwell’s soon! I know you will find something if not everything to take home.
You can follow them on Instagram @shopbirdwells.Finally, we visited Branded, off of Benton Road, next to ChinaBerry’s. Hayley was feeling under the weather at this point, so I headed in by myself.
Branded was Chelsea, the proprietor’s vision, and at a young age, made it come to fruition. She merged her family’s names to make the namesake. And, having a Christian soul, made God her focus for her dream.
She stocks some of my favorite brands, like L-space. Unique denim and tees. Jewelry, swim, shoes, tops and accessories. So if you are looking for a unique outfit to wear that you can’t find anywhere else, check out Branded. You can follow them on Instagram @branded_psalm119.
So go give these guys a holler! I know they won’t disappoint!
