We are readying ourselves for a beach trip. Let me fill you in on what I’m loving lately, especially for the beach.
First off this beach chair folds down flat, has several cushions, and even has an open area for your face when you lie on your stomach. It folds up into a nice, light-to-carry rectangle with a strap and/or handle. It has solid, wooden arms with a retractable beverage holder and a zippered pouch for your phone and sunscreen.
All it’s missing a cabana boy! RRROOUURKE!
How fun are these Sun Squad beach towels from Target? I ordered these recently and think they are perfect for birthday gifts. For an added bonus, they are on sale now for $8!!!
I ordered this one-piece wonder for the beach, too. Boy does it keep everything all tucked in nicely. And, believe or not, is on sale, too, now!
For some good beach reads, I just finished this page-turning thriller. It kept me on my toes.
This thriller that I am currently reading is also a good beach read. I read half the book in 2 hours.
For a totally different genre about this quirky character and the mystery behind her and her awkward ways, this soon-to-be-movie is great, too. You will laugh, you will cry.
For those rainy days stuck inside, we love this rom-com Shrill streaming on Hulu now.
(Not for the kids.)
If you are needing to get out of the condo and see a flick, I highly recommend Aladdin. Who would have thought Robin Williams could have a contender, but Will Smith definitely holds his own!
If you are a fan of Elton John and his music, I would recommend you see this, too. It’s pretty much a musical based on his life. I was jamming to Elton the whole week after I saw this. (Beware: there are some heavy scenes where you might want to grab some more popcorn if you are offended easily.)
So, prior to a beach trip, we are really watching what we eat, right. But, once we get there, that is all out the window, for me anyways.
Hayley served these fries at her housewarming party with truffle oil, salt and pepper. They were just plain addictive. If you are looking for a great side to your beach bbq, try these easy and delicious spuds.
And, have your tried Blue Bell’s new Bride’s Cake and Groom’s Cake flavors? I was half-way into a carton when I realized these are not gluten-free. Oops! Well worth the aftermath, though.
Speaking of “gluten-free.”….If you are a local, Cuban has a gluten-free bread made in house every Friday. Each week has a different flavor. Let me just tell you, I haven’t met a flavor I haven’t liked.
Even the rest of the family, who is not GF, would rather this bread to regular bread. It’s that good.
For those snacks in the car or plane on your trip, these kale chips are sooo good. They are freeze-dried and not fried. But, you would never know it. Better 2 bags, not 1!
What are you loving lately? Beach bound anyone?
Toodle-oo,
Melanie
