Welcome back to another addition of “Hidden Gems of the SB” where we find local business establishments that we would like to highlight.
This latest business is new to our community and is located on Pierremont Road in Shreveport in the previous “Sweat Society” location. It is called Glow Alchemy Kitchen.
The moment I stepped foot into this gorgeous spot, I felt like I left Louisiana and stepped right into L.A. (California, that is). It is bright and airy with white and rose-gold tones and pops of bright pink. This Lavish Lagniappe girl’s dream.
It is a cafe with an open-kitchen concept. The decor is contemporary yet the beautiful fresh flowers and food give it a warm and inviting French cafe atmosphere.
Jessica Comegys, chef and owner, started with her business, Caspiana Catering. Her goal: to provide healthy meals to her clients and supporting businesses.
Her catering business grew, and she wanted to expand on the concept to provide a place for people to come and dine while enjoying her delicious, healthy fare.
For a gluten-free gal, this place was perfect! They offer vegan and gluten-free menu items, including DESSERTS!!!!!
They offer coffees, including the popular “bulletproof coffee,” fancy teas, kombucha, and pressed juices all made in-house.
They also have a “grab-n-go” food section for when you don’t have time to sit and eat.
For retail, they provide Moon Juice and Little Barn Apothecary products (some of my faves), among other healthy supplements.
She is still continuing her Caspiana Catering at this location. She has hosted several private parties and will be soon adding cooking demonstrations to her repertoire. So, please follow her on Facebook or Instagram to keep in the loop.
I just love all the special touches Jessica incorporated into this space. I especially love the “living wall” with “Hello Luminous You” in neon lights that was copied from her grandmother’s own handwriting.
Glow Alchemy Kitchen is opened Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
So stop by and check this place out! It is Hayley and my new go-to lunch spot!
Toodle-oo,
Melanie
